• Disaster Relief: 

     A partnership with Virginia and Southern Baptists to provide help for areas impacted by natural disasters.

  • Glocal Missions Team:

      Coordinates local and global missions opportunities.

  • Knit Wits:

    The Knitwits meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 10:00am to fellowship, knit and crochet prayer shawls to give to those needing to feel the love of Christ as they face illness or grief.

  • Medical Outreach:

     Salem keeps a small inventory of medical equipment to loan out as needed.

  • Fuge: 

     Summer mission trip for youth that provides the opportunity to serve along with dynamic worship in a camp atmosphere.

  • Samaritan’s Purse: 

    Our church family participates annually in the Operation Christmas Child (shoebox) program, just before Christmas.

  • Women on Mission:

    This is a missions organization for women (ages 18 and up) through which women pray for and give to missions,  learn about missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle,  and participate in the work of the church and the denomination.  At Salem, there are two WOM Organizations.  The “Day Group” meets at 11:00am on the fourth Tuesday of each month; the “Night Group” at 7:00pm on the third Tuesday of each month.  For more information, contact Lois Taylor at (804) 633-6152.

  • Thailand Missions: 

    Salem Church partners with the International Missions Board to share the Gospel, support church plants, work in schools, hand out Bibles and make disciples of all nations.
