HERMON ASSOCIATION NEWS:
Most of you are aware that Impact, VA! is a ministry of Virginia Baptists, where
about 130 high school age students will be descending on our county to help
rennovate and work on homes that need some help, that otherwise might not have
the money to help pay for the repairs. The youth will be housed at the high
school, fed breakfast and dinner by the cafeteria staff (we help pay for that),
and go out during the day to work.
We are still in process of identifying all of the home sites, but 6 have
been definitely decided upon. Please check the list below and see where you have
been assigned. Let me know if that date doesn't work for you for some reason.
Some of you have volunteered to help and have not been assigned yet.. That
is because I think a home closer to where you actually live may come up. I am
waiting to try to get you to serve to the home closest to your own. Don't think
I have forgotten you...I haven't. I still have not assigned County Line Baptist
a home yet and several individuals.
I am sending you this email either because you volunteered to help, might
be able to help provide lunches, or may know of someone to forward this too who
is unaware of Impact, VA! coming and can help.
We are still accepting donations to help pay for supplies as well. If we
work on roofs, build ramps, paint, etc. we purchase and pay for all supplies.
If your group would like to contribute, thank you.
Send me an email to let me know you received this and your date works for
you. Forward this to anyone you think may be interested in helping.
May God bless you all for your service. I enjoy working with each of you.
Join us in helping to reach our Jerusalem.

Impact, VA! is indeed coming back to Caroline County. The week of July
21st-26th. If you, your family, missions group, Sunday school class would like
to participate by donating money for lunches, or by providing lunches at
homesites that week- that would be wonderful! Please let me know of your intent
as soon as possible, and as soon as the homesites are nailed down, we will let
you know what home you are assigned too. I am assuming there will be around 15
people at each work site. You can plan on providing lunch for 15 or so. Hot
lunches preferred- anything deeply appreciated. Just remember these guys and
girls are hungry...they have been working all day.
The Congregacion Hispana de Ladysmith, under the leadership
of Pastor Eduardo Negron, has written and asked the Executive Committee to
consider their request for membership with Hermon. The Committee will look at
the request in May, and the official recommendation and vote will take place at
our annual meeting in October.
The Congregacion Hispana de Ladysmith joined us at our annual meeting last
October, and Pastor Negron has been involved in prayer and support for our
association for awhile. Their address is 604 Cicero Drive, Ruther Glen, Va.
22546. Pastor Negron can be reached at negron57200@yahoo.com.
