Choirs – Careen Stanley, Director:
Worship Choir: Open to anyone 14 and older, this choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:30-9 pm in the choir room, September-June. We lead worship each week during the second (11 a.m.) service, and sing special music twice each month.

Holiday Choirs: Form seasonally, performing in special programs for Easter Sunday, Patriot Sunday, and the Christmas Dessert.

Kids’ Choir: (grades K-5) meets Thursdays 4-5:30 p.m. in the choir room, September-June.
Weekly Schedule:
3:45 p.m.
            pickup at Bowing Green Elementary School (if arranged ahead of time by parents with Careen and school administration)
4:00-4:15 p.m.   arrive at Salem/snack (provided by Music)/bathroom break
4:15-5:30 p.m.   choir practice – includes music skills training and game time

Performances include:
Sunday, September 25th, in first service (8:30 a.m.)
Sunday, October 30th, in first service (8:30 a.m.)
Sunday, December 4th in Advent Worship Service (10 a.m.)
Thursday-Saturday, December 8th-10th for Christmas Dessert (6:30 p.m.)

The Bells of SalemBecky Broaddus, Director:
This group of talented bell-ringers meets each Wednesday, September-June, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the music library.

Other opportunities for musicians:
Praise Team:
 Leads worship during the first (8:30 a.m.) service. Auditions required, ability to sing harmony is a plus!

Instrumentalists: Accompany congregational singing, perform solos, preludes, postludes, and offertories in both services. Trumpet, flute, piano, organ, guitar – if you play an instrument, please let us know!

Men’s and Ladies’ ensembles: Perform special music once a quarter, participate in seasonal programs, etc. This group is usually formed from members of worship or seasonal choir.
